Performance Physical Therapist: Ascension Rehab and Sports Therapy South Charlotte, NC | Part-Time or Full-time available
If you became a PT to actually treat people, not to chart between 4 patients on the same hour then keep reading.
You learned manual skills, exercise prescription, return-to-sport progressions, and clinical reasoning in school. Then you got a job where you couldn't use any of it the way you wanted to. Twenty visits a day. Techs running your plan of care. Notes at 9pm. Patients you barely remember.
That's not the job here.
About Ascension
Ascension Rehab and Sports Therapy is a performance-based PT clinic in South Charlotte. We see one patient at a time, for a full hour. No techs. No double-booking.
Our framework is Reset → Rebuild → Resilience:
We get people out of pain, rebuild capacity, and keep them performing for the long haul. Our patients are active adults, athletes, and post-surgical clients who want results, not a punch card.
We're growing, and we're hiring our next clinician.
The Role
You'll be a primary clinician on a 1-on-1 appointment model:
▸ Full hour with every patient: eval, manual, exercise, education, programming
▸ You own your caseload from eval through discharge and into long-term wellness
▸ Optional contribution to content, community, and gym partnerships if that's your thing
What You Need to Be Successful
▸ Physical therapy Diploma + NC license (or eligible)
▸ 2+ years clinical experience preferred but strong new grads considered
▸ Performance and sports rehab orientation: you understand load management, progressive overload, and return-to-activity
▸ Manual therapy competence
▸ Ownership mentality: you treat your caseload like it's your practice
▸ Strong communication with patients, referral partners, and teammates
What you don't need: experience grinding out 25 visits a day. That's a habit we'll have to break, not build.
What You Get
▸Compensation: $70,000 – $115,000+ total compensation
▸Benefits: PTO, paid holidays, retirement contributions and stipends for health/dental/vision/life/disability. Also, no burn-out.
▸blocked admin time every week: notes, programming, prep, all done at work
▸weekly meetings for case discussion
▸$1,500 Annual CEU budget
▸ A 60-minute, 1-on-1 model that lets you practice the way you were trained to.
▸ Culture that doesn't take itself too seriously: Athleisure dress code, performance-minded patients and a team that genuinely likes each other and the work

- When was the last time you were injured, and how did you rehab it (or didn't)? Bonus points for self-awareness about what you'd do differently.
- Pick one: 5K run, 20-rep back squat at 1.5x bodyweight, or a 10-minute AMRAP of your choice. xqrzhdi Which are you choosing and why? This tells us more about you than your resume will.
