Experience:

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: At least 3 years of GI Tech experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience in Gastroenterology (GI) Lab/Operating Room preferred.

Preferred Credentials: Associate’s/Technical degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.

Unit Details: Works in the gastroenterology (GI) lab under the direction of registered nurses and assists gastroenterologists with GI procedures. Adult and geriatric patient population. Endoscopy responsibilities include room set-up and cleaning, specimen collection, sterilization and decontamination of endoscopes and other clinical equipment, biological monitoring, terminal cleaning processes, and quality testing/documentation. Uses ultrasonic washers. Transports patients between departments and provides direct care to endoscopy patients in collaboration with registered nurses.

Shift & Scheduling: M-F schedule. Shift time is rotating between hours 700 and 1900. Call is minimum of 1 weekend/month, 203 days per week.

Floating Requirements: You may be required to float to Adventist Health locations within 30 miles.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)) or the alternative certifications CORST, NCORST, NCST, NCST, NRCST, TS-C
