<p><br /> </p>Locum APP Opportunity Trauma Surgery / Critical Care<p> San Francisco </p><p> Start Date: August 4 </p><p> Assignment Length: 26 Weeks </p><p><br /> </p><p>A high-volume Level 1 trauma center in the Bay Area is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for a locum assignment supporting trauma and critical care services across the ED, inpatient floor, and ICU settings. </p><p><br /> </p>Position Highlights<ul><li>Busiest trauma center in the Bay Area </li><li>APP will provide care for critically ill and injured patients throughout the continuum of care </li><li>Collaborative environment with residents and multidisciplinary teams </li><li>Exposure to trauma, emergency, ICU, neurosurgery, orthopedic, and critical care patients </li> </ul>Patient Volume<ul><li>2025 patients per day shared with resident team on the floor </li><li>512 trauma activations daily </li> </ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Evaluate and manage trauma and emergency patients </li><li>Care for critically ill patients from ED through ICU and inpatient units </li><li>Assist with trauma activations and acute stabilization </li><li>Manage complex medical and surgical conditions including:<ul><li>Shock </li><li>Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) </li><li>Stroke </li><li>Neurosurgical conditions </li><li>Orthopedic trauma </li> </ul> </li> </ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Active California license at time of submission </li><li>California DEA required </li><li>BLS and ACLS certifications required </li><li>Minimum 1 year of trauma experience required OR ICU experience </li><li>Comfortable working with trauma and ED patients </li> </ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred / ICU experience highly preferred </li><li>Experience with:<ul><li>Arterial lines </li><li>Central lines </li><li>Chest tubes </li> </ul> </li><li>Background in neurosurgery, ICU, emergency medicine, or orthopedics considered </li><li>ATLS preferred </li> </ul><p>This is an excellent opportunity for an APP seeking high-acuity trauma experience within a premier Bay Area trauma center. </p><p><br /> </p><p>Interested?
