PA, Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Surgery

<p><strong>Description</strong><br></p><p>We are seeking a <strong>Physician Assistant</strong> to join our <strong>Orthopedic Surgery team in Beaumont, TX</strong>. This role includes a <strong>combination of surgical first assist responsibilities and outpatient clinic duties</strong>, with <strong>no inpatient coverage required</strong>. The ideal candidate will have orthopedic experience and either possess <strong>first assist experience</strong> or be <strong>willing to obtain first assist training</strong>.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Serve as <strong>first assist</strong> in orthopedic surgical procedures</p></li><li><p>Provide outpatient clinic care including post-operative and follow-up visits</p></li><li><p>Evaluate and manage musculoskeletal conditions in a clinic setting</p></li><li><p>Order and interpret imaging and diagnostic studies</p></li><li><p>Perform in-office procedures such as joint injections, splinting, or casting as appropriate</p></li><li><p>Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons and clinic staff to ensure continuity of care</p></li><li><p>Educate patients on treatment plans, surgical recovery, and rehabilitation expectations</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Current Texas license as a Physician Assistant</p></li><li><p>National certification (NCCPA)</p></li><li><p>Previous orthopedic or surgical experience preferred</p></li><li><p><strong>First assist experience required OR willingness to obtain first assist training</strong></p></li><li><p>Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in both clinic and OR settings</p></li></ul>
