Locum Tenens Physician Assistant Opportunity Near Eugene, OR <p>We are currently seeking <strong>2-3 Board Certified Physician Assistants (PAs) </strong> for a locum to permanent position in the Orthopedics Department near Eugene, OR. This role offers a dynamic work environment with the chance to make a significant impact in patient care while enjoying the benefits of a flexible schedule. </p> <strong>Position Details: </strong> <ul><li><strong>Profession </strong>: Physician Assistant </li><li><strong>Specialty </strong>: Orthopedic Surgery </li><li><strong>Location </strong>: Near Eugene, OR </li><li><strong>Start Date </strong>: ASAP - Ongoing </li><li><strong>Rate Type </strong>: Hourly </li><li><strong>Shift Type </strong>: Days + On Call </li><li><strong>Weekend Requirements </strong>: On call rotation TBD </li><li><strong>On Call Requirements </strong>: On call rotation TBD </li> </ul> <strong>Job Description: </strong> <ul><li><strong>Full-Time </strong>: Day shift with on-call duties, the exact rotation to be determined based on the number of providers. </li><li><strong>Responsibilities </strong>:<ul><li>Perform comprehensive and problem-focused history and physical exams. </li><li>Interpret and correlate laboratory and diagnostic procedures to formulate and implement treatment plans for orthopedic conditions. </li><li>Order and perform diagnostic studies such as EMG, electrocardiogram, CT, MRI, and bone scans. </li><li>Conduct procedures including digital blocks, regional anesthesia, tendon repair, wound closure, and fracture management. </li><li>Assist in surgeries with duties such as first assisting, tissue closures, and application of appliances. </li><li>Conduct hospital rounds, write orders, and assist orthopedic surgeons. </li><li>Provide primary orthopedic call for patients in the Emergency Department and inpatient units. </li><li>Evaluate and manage clinical conditions, prepare discharge summaries, and prescribe medications and orthopedic devices. </li><li>Participate in research studies, quality assurance, and multidisciplinary rounding. </li><li>Utilize the electronic medical record (Epic) for order entry and documentation. </li> </ul> </li> </ul> <strong>Skills and Abilities: </strong> <ul><li>Proficient with electronic health records and effective communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and perform well under stress. </li><li>Strong customer service orientation and excellent critical thinking skills. </li><li>Flexible, with the capability to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities. </li><li>Physical and mental agility to handle various tasks and patient care needs. </li> </ul> <strong>Requirements: </strong> <ul><li><strong>Certification </strong>:<ul><li>Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery (Required) </li><li>BLS and ACLS Certification (Required) </li> </ul> </li><li><strong>State License </strong>:<ul><li>Active Oregon state license (Required) </li> </ul> </li><li><strong>EMR </strong>: Epic </li> </ul> <strong>Additional Information: </strong> <ul><li>Open to new graduates and experienced providers, though experience is preferred. </li><li>Visa candidates are accepted. </li><li>This is a locum to permanent opportunity, with potential for long-term placement. </li> </ul><p>If you are a dedicated PA with a passion for orthopedics and are looking for a rewarding opportunity with competitive pay and excellent benefits, apply now! </p><p><strong>Job ID </strong>: j- </p> <strong>HDAJOBS </strong> <strong>MDSTAFF </strong>
