Our practice offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered primary care in a collaborative environment focused on accessibility and whole-person care.</span></p><p data-start="431" data-end="764"> </p><p data-start="431" data-end="764"><span>As a Primary Care Physician, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive care to individuals and families while delivering compassionate care that supports both acute and long-term health needs.<br /><br /></span></p><p data-start="766" data-end="791"><span><strong data-start="766" data-end="791">Key Primary Care Physician Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><ul data-start="792" data-end="1467"><li data-section-id="dtgkig" data-start="792" data-end="875"><span>Provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population</span></li><li data-section-id="14liv5b" data-start="876" data-end="981"><span>Diagnose and treat acute conditions, including illnesses and minor injuries (e.g., flu, strep throat)</span></li><li data-section-id="hjccrl" data-start="982" data-end="1064"><span>Perform annual physicals, wellness exams, and preventive health screenings</span></li><li data-section-id="1ujfrh4" data-start="1065" data-end="1132"><span>Administer immunizations and promote preventive care strategies</span></li><li data-section-id="1dni85u" data-start="1133" data-end="1232"><span>Manage and treat chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, and cardiovascular disease</span></li><li data-section-id="1ds12wc" data-start="1233" data-end="1272"><span>Conduct sports physicals</span></li><li data-section-id="1h7sx8a" data-start="1273" data-end="1367"><span>Deliver whole-person care, addressing physical, emotional, and preventive health needs</span></li><li data-section-id="1x9ps32" data-start="1368" data-end="1467"><span>Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care</span></li></ul><p data-start="1469" data-end="1693" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node=""><span>This is an excellent opportunity for a Primary Care Physician seeking a supportive, mission-driven organization, where you can build a thriving practice while making a meaningful impact in the Colorado Springs community.</span><br /><br /></p><p><span>#HEC</span></p><br><span><b>Job Requirements</b></span><br><p><span>In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified Primary Care Physicians will have:</span></p><ul><li><span>Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required</span></li><li><span>Successful completion of an accredited residency or fellowship program aligned with the area of specialty</span></li><li><span>Board Certified or Board Eligible in the appropriate specialty (as recognized by the hospital)</span></li><li><span>Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state (or eligibility to obtain)</span></li><li><span>Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration</span></li><li><span>Eligibility to obtain Medical Staff privileges within the health system at the sponsoring institution</span></li></ul><p><span>Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)</span></p><br><span>Where You'll Work</span><br><br><p><span><span><span>Established in 1890, Penrose Hospital has grown to become a major health treatment and referral center specializing in cancer care, cardiac care, emergency trauma care, and physical rehabilitation.</span></span></span></p><p><span><span>Colorado Springs, Colorado's second-largest city, boasts a thriving community rich in business experience and a historic background of achievement.
