Cardiology - Interventional Physician

Locums Interventional Cardiology Fort Smith, AR (AR license)Why This Role

• Call only, 5 days/month M-F
• No patient callbacks; no admissions unless STEMI
• Possible to expedite credentialing for the right candidate
• Strong support team (7 RNs, 6 APPs)
• Ongoing need, multiple providers accepted - locums-to-perm potential
Assignment Details
• Start/end: ASAP, ongoing (authorized through February 2027); 5 days/month, M-F
• Schedule: In-house and STEMI call; in-house response 1 hour, emergency/STEMI under 30 minutes; no patient callbacks
• Coverage type: Call only, inpatient
• Volume: 20-25 average 24-hour call; 15-20 patients seen; no admissions unless STEMI (hospitalist service handles admissions)
• Setting: Stroke certified, admissions required
• Support: 7 RNs, 7 MAs, 6 PA/NPs, 3 office staff
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: 60-90 days (possible to expedite for the right candidate)
Clinical Details
• Required scope: Interventional cardiology in-house and STEMI call coverage
Requirements
• Board certified in Interventional Cardiology
• License: Active AR required
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS
• Active DEA
Compensation
• Rate negotiable, open to your number
• Malpractice provided
