*Job Overview*
LightStone Law is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of experience to join our Business Practice Group. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney to develop sophisticated transactional skills while working directly with experienced attorneys and a diverse client base.

*Responsibilities*

* Draft, review and negotiate a variety of business and commercial agreements
* Assist clients with business formation, governance, restructuring and dissolution matters
* Support mergers, acquisitions, asset purchases, and other business transactions
* Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues
* Assist with entity maintenance, corporate governance, and compliance matters
* Participate in due diligence for business transactions
* Advise clients on day-to-day legal issues affecting closely held businesses and entrepreneurs
* Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, accountants, lenders, and other professionals
* Contribute to business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships
* Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to provide comprehensive legal solutions

*Qualifications*

* Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
* Admission to the Michigan Bar
* 1-5 years of experience in business, corporate, commercial, or transactional law
* Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrate initiative, sound judgement, and a collaborative mindset

*Preferred Qualifications*

* Experience drafting and negotiating contracts
* Exposure to corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial finance, or real estate transactions
* Experience working with closely held businesses, entrepreneurs, or family-owned companies
* Interest in developing client relationships and contributing to firm growth

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
