Document and maintain appropriate records of performance. /n - Conduct, assist in, or supervise employee orientation, and identify and participate in on-going training and development needs of all team staff. /n - Review all reserves and payments within established authority. Assist in establishing and improving accurate and timely reserving procedures. /n - Communicate quality and service standards to staff and vendors. /n - Assist and train Adjusters in the recognition and investigation of fraud, subrogation, and/or salvage. /n - Establish effective procedures for the timely resolution of claims. /n - Continuously evaluate and improve the overall effectiveness of the unit, including developing and improving workflow to optimize functionality. /n - Review and supervise claim handling throughout the unit. /n - Identify and advise management of trends, problems, and issues, as well as recommended courses of action. /n - Recommend to management new ideas for continuous process improvement. /n - Lead by example in professional knowledge and development. /n /n /n Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent combination of training and experience. /n /n Experience: Five (5) to ten (10) years related experience and / or training with specific experience managing a claims team. /n /n Licensure: State of Florida 5--20 or 6-20 License required; AIC or CPCU designation preferred. /n /n Skills: /n /n - Strong technical knowledge of claims management. /n - Proficient with Xactimate estimating software. /n - Strong technical knowledge of building components, materials and repair methodology. /n - Field experience required. /n - Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills. /n - PC literate, including Microsoft Office products. /n - Leadership, management, and motivational skills. /n - Analytical and interpretive skills. /n - Strong organizational skills. /n - Excellent interpersonal skills. /n - Outstanding negotiation skills. /n - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. /n - Ability to meet or exceed defined metrics and performance competencies. /n
