Key Responsibilities\n \n * Conduct thorough assessments, including complete mental status examinations, to evaluate clients' mental health needs and identify appropriate therapeutic interventions. \n * Deliver individual and group therapy sessions tailored to each student's unique situation, focusing on topics such as anxiety, depression, academic stress, and interpersonal relationships. \n * Maintain comprehensive case notes, progress reports, and treatment plans, ensuring accurate documentation that reflects clients' journeys and outcomes. \n * Utilize evidence-based therapeutic frameworks to guide your practice, adapting interventions as necessary to align with the diverse needs of clients. \n * Engage with other healthcare professionals, including school staff, psychologists, and community resources, to coordinate care and support for students and their families. \n * Participate in team meetings to exchange insights, strategies, and best practices, collectively enhancing the quality of care provided by our institution. \n * Manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism; de-escalate crisis moments effectively and offer constructive solutions. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n In this role, you will primarily support adolescents dealing with a range of emotional and behavioral issues. Your clients may include students struggling with anxiety, depression, bullying, learning disabilities, or personal crises. You will have the opportunity to educate families on mental health concerns and create a support network to help them succeed academically and socially. Qualifications\n \n * Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. \n * Virginia LCSW licensure, enabling independent clinical practice. \n * Strong empathy and emotional intelligence, capable of establishing rapport with clients who may be hesitant or distressed. \n * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and compassionate manner. \n * Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills, essential for keeping track of multiple client cases. \n Preferred Experience\n \n * A minimum of 2 years of experience providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, or families, preferably within a school or educational context. \n * Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by youth today. \n * Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans that are culturally and developmentally appropriate. \n Compensation and Benefits\n The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
