About The Group

The Group is a multi-concept hospitality company behind some of New York's most beloved French brasseries and dining destinations, including La Grande Boucherie, Boucherie, and Olio e Più. We're opening Boucherie Upper West Side, and we're looking for skilled, guest-focused Bartenders to join our founding bar team.

The Role

As a Bartender, you'll craft and serve consistently excellent beverages—directly to guests and through our serving staff—while delivering warm, engaging hospitality and upholding our standards behind the bar. You'll be a key part of the energy and experience at Boucherie.

What You'll Do

• Complete opening and closing side work as directed by management
• Greet guests immediately with a smile and present beverage menus
• Make recommendations and answer menu inquiries
• Check identification for anyone appearing under 21 before serving
• Take orders and enter them into the POS with 100% accuracy
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
• Peel, slice, and pit fruit for garnishes following Company standards
• Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines
• Process transactions, prepare checks, and handle payments
• Maintain loss prevention standards—cash handling, tip handling, deposits—and count the register at the start and close of each shift
• Maintain the organization and aesthetic appeal of the bar counter and displays
• Clean the bar and secure all alcoholic product at close
• Uphold Department of Health sanitation standards and keep the work area clean and organized
• Resolve guest concerns with a "find a way to say yes" approach, involving the Manager on Duty as needed
• Notify the Manager on Duty immediately of any health or safety concerns
• Participate in staff training and attend mandatory meetings

What You Bring

• 2+ years of experience as a bartender in a similar-caliber concept
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Basic math skills
• A friendly, helpful, and positive attitude at all times
• Polished, professional presentation
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs and to walk, stand, and bend for extended periods
• Comfort performing under pressure while maintaining professionalism
• Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and a variable schedule based on business needs

Compensation

This is an hourly, tipped position. For tipped employees, base wage will be $11.35 with a $5.65 tip credit applied, if wages earned do not reach minimum wage.
