Job Description Job Description SUMMARY Stewart Mechanical is looking to hire an experienced Plumbing and HVAC estimator with design-build knowledge and a commercial Plumbing and or HVAC background who will bid and win projects, experienced enough to estimate an accurate assessment of the project requirements while keeping the professional culture. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Review project specifications and drawings. - Generate accurate takeoffs using computer software estimating programs. Thorough knowledge of Plumbing and Pipefitting systems is required. - Manage bid invitations. - Prepare plumbing budgets. - Manage multiple bids at the same time. - Send out bid invitations to vendors and subcontractors. Review their bids for accuracy and completeness. - Assemble full estimate for review by chief estimator. - Write proposal letters. - Capable of offering value engineering ideas. Education - High School Diploma (or equivalent) - Software certification for estimating Qualifications - 5+ years of commercial plumbing estimating experience. - Great verbal and written communication skills. Skills - Great attention to detail - Experience reading plans and specifications - Solve problems effectively - Visualize concepts effectively - Microsoft Office - Great verbal and written communication skills.
