CDL A Local Truck Driver in Superior, WI

Omaha Track is hiring a CDL A Local Truck Driver in Superior, WI. This role will be majority driving with 20-30% yard work. The local Driver is responsible for operating tractor-trailer combinations locally, to transport intermodal containers between company and customer facilities, rail yards, and/or work sites in a safe and timely manner. Driver may also be responsible for operating tractor-trailer combinations locally, to transport loads utilizing flatbed and end dump trailers between company and customer facilities and/or work sites in a safe and timely manner. Must have 1 year experience operating a Manual Transmission on a Commerical Vehicle over 25,000 pounds with a transmission type of 10 or more speeds. Compensation - Combination of hourly and pay per load - Pay per load; $128.12 - Yard work hourly average range: $22-$24 (depending on experience) - Potential Quarterly Bonus - Paid via direct deposit weekly Benefits & Perks - Great company benefits starting the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment: - Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance - Company Paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability & Long-Term Disability - Healthcare Savings account (HSA) - 401K with tiered company match offerings - Paid Time Off + Paid Vacation - Based on start date - Tuition reimbursement - Paid orientation & safety training - Perks: Wellness programs, annual company clothing store allowance, annual steel-toed boot reimbursement up to $100, Parental Leave, Company match on charitable donations, cell phone allowance, etc. - No Slip Seating Home Time, Route & Schedule - Home Daily! - 5-day work week with one Saturday a month - This role will be majority driving with 20-30% yard work. - Day/afternoon shift with an average of 10-12 hour shift - Level of Touch: Load and Unload / Secure and Unsecure Load Equipment - Late Model Conventional Tractor Fleet - Intermodal, flatbed and end-dump - Mix of Automatic and Manual Transmission - Outward Facing Cameras Major Areas of Responsibility - Operate a tractor-trailer combination safely and efficiently to transport assigned loads - Ensure all loaded materials are safely secured prior to and throughout transport - Inspect company vehicles/trailers and report necessary maintenance in accordance with policies and procedures - Check-in with the Transportation department daily for assignments and updates - Practice proper housekeeping with clean, properly maintained vehicles, tools, and equipment - Accurately complete and maintain a drivers log in accordance with requirements - Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures - Report all job site incidents and injuries to Transportation Manager immediately - Complete and maintain all required safety training and certifications Qualifications - Must be at least 21 years of age - Must have CDL A license with no restrictions - Must have a minimum of 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience with a clean driving record within last 24 month - Must have 1 year experience operating a Manual Transmission on a Commercial Vehicle over 25,000 pounds with a transmission type of 10 or more speeds. - Intermodal, flatbed and end-dump experience preferred - Tractor-trailer experience in all 4 seasons required - 0 DUI/DWIs in last year - Air-Break endorsement - Ability to meet all functional requirements including, but not limited to: lifting/carrying (up to 100lbs),sitting, kneeling, climbing, standing, walking, bending, squatting, pulling, finger dexterity, and reaching above/below shoulders - Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations - Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen - Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 50 miles of Superior, WI or be willing to relocate
