Pipe welder (47345)

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Pipe Welder to join our prefabrication shop team. This position will focus on welding and fabricating piping assemblies in a controlled shop environment before they are sent to the job site for installation. Responsibilities - Weld pipe and fittings using SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), and/or GMAW/FCAW processes - Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping materials as required - Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, piping drawings, and isometric drawings - Fit and weld pipe assemblies to required dimensions and specifications - Perform proper joint preparation, fit-up, tack welding, and final welding - Inspect welds for quality, consistency, and proper penetration - Use grinders, cutting equipment, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment - Maintain proper welding procedures and follow project specifications - Prepare completed piping assemblies for shipment and field installation - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area - Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements Qualifications - Previous pipe welding experience required - Ability to read and understand piping blueprints and isometric drawings - Experience with pipe fit-up and fabrication is a strong plus - Ability to pass applicable welding tests is preferred - Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel is a plus - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality - Good mechanical aptitude - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Reliable, safety-minded, and willing to learn $100/day Per Diem available for candidates who qualify #ITS13
