Job Description Job Description School Psychologist – Elementary School Location: Wilmington, Delaware School District: Brandywine School District School: Mount Pleasant Elementary Position: School Psychologist – Onsite Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 35 Hours/Week Assignment Dates: ASAP – June 8, 2027 Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join the team at Mount Pleasant Elementary in Wilmington, Delaware. This is an onsite, full-time opportunity supporting elementary-aged students and collaborating with educators and school staff to promote student success and well-being. The ideal candidate will be student-focused, collaborative, and comfortable working in an elementary school environment. This role provides an opportunity to become an integral part of the school community while supporting students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs. Position Details & Responsibilities - Serve as the onsite School Psychologist for Mount Pleasant Elementary. - Support the academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs of elementary students. - Conduct and/or support appropriate student evaluations and assessments. - Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other members of the student support team. - Provide professional insight and recommendations related to student needs and educational programming. - Participate in meetings and multidisciplinary discussions regarding student support. - Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation. - Help develop and implement appropriate interventions and student support strategies. - Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment. Ideal Candidate The ideal School Psychologist will have: - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience working with elementary-aged students. - Excellent organizational and documentation skills. - The ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, families, and other school professionals. - A student-centered approach and commitment to supporting the whole child. - The ability to work effectively in an onsite school environment.
