If you are seeking a lucrative hospital-employed practice with a lighter clinical pace and an incredibly supportive working environment, this opportunity is an ideal fit. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong> </p><ul><li>Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients within a modern, 32-bed Emergency Department. </li><li>Manage a highly comfortable patient pace averaging fewer than two encounters per hour. </li><li>Collaborate seamlessly with a second on-duty physician, maintaining double-physician coverage at all times. </li><li>Efficiently stabilize and coordinate transfers for high-acuity trauma and major cardiac cases ("no heads, no hearts") to tertiary care partners. </li><li>Work a predictable rotation of 15 shifts per month utilizing three structured 10-hour blocks (6:00 AM4:00 PM, 1:00 PM11:00 PM, or 4:00 PM2:00 AM). </li><li>Coordinate patient care with on-site specialties, including the hospitals dedicated inpatient psychiatric department. </li><li>Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records for all patient encounters. </li> </ul><p><strong>Qualifications: </strong> </p><ul><li>Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution. </li><li>Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Emergency Medicine (or a relevant specialty with extensive ED experience). </li><li>Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain). </li><li>Valid DEA registration. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset optimized for a co-coverage model. </li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits: </strong> </p><ul><li>$75,000 sign-on bonus structured over 3 years. </li><li>$100,000 retention bonus structured over 5 years. </li><li>Low-burnout schedule requiring only 1,776 annual hours (with non-clinical time built directly into the rotation). </li><li>Premium health, dental, and vision insurance packages. </li><li>Fully paid medical malpractice insurance coverage. </li><li>Robust retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions. </li><li>Full short-term/long-term disability and life insurance policies. </li> </ul><p><br></p>
