Senior Health Informatics Ontologist — Remote

Essex, an Emmes Company, seeks a Senior Informaticist – Health Informatics (Ontologist) to advance biomedical ontologies and terminology governance within the HIS Department of the BIDS Division. You will design and curate ontologies, map concepts to NCIt, SNOMED CT, LOINC, MeSH, RxNorm, and support data standards across federal programs.

The role emphasizes autonomy, mentorship of junior staff, and collaboration with Engineering and Bioinformatics to integrate ontology resources into data
